M. H. Hill Bridge opens!!

Dallas' newest landmark opens for business today.
...DPD directed traffic around the line of cars waiting to be "the first"...

... the press waited over head...
...and at ground level...

...then, FINALLY, East bound lanes open for the first time!


...First crossing!!

...of course, gotta do something "artsy"!

Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge

Dallas' newest landmark, the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge over the Trinity river leading form
downtown to West Dallas gets the big Texas Grand Opening hoopla this weekend.

Local officials are hoping to develop the West Dallas area into new retail and business opportunities.

Lyle Lovett and his Large Band will be playing among other activities over the next couple days, come down and get in on the action...

...here's a couple shots I make last night, along with about a billion other photographers. Can't imagine how many are going to be there this evening for the "official" unveiling...
