Reef at Palancar Gardens..

...just a few minutes on this Cozumel, Mexico reef and it's easy to see why it's called 'Gardens'.

Sponges, hydroids, coral branches, all spring from the reef base too look

very much like an underwater garden....

the main difference is, of course, most of the stuff you see are animals not plants.

Homesick blues...

...as usual, going the the post Cozumel "homesicks". Especially with this 100 degree weather and no saltwater in sight to cool off in!!

Taking photos from an airplane is always a "hit or miss" proposition.

I shot this on aproach to Cozumel, this past April....

you can see the dive boats coming in from the morning dives, and just beyond the cruise ships in the distance, is Paradise Reef and the beginning of the Marine Park...SCUBA diver's heaven!!!

A visit to the "Giants of the Savanna"...

...took a little time before it got too hot out a couple mornings ago and made a quick stop at the Dallas Zoo and the new "Giants of the Savanna" section of the zoo ...
