American Bald Eagle

This beautiful bird may be one of the oldest Bald Eagles on the planet at 28 years old! (In 2009) These birds have been known to live as long as 48 year in zoos, although  the life span of a wild Bald Eagle is closer to 10-12 years.
  I took this picture at the "Birds of the Wild" show at the Great State Fair of Texas in October of 2009.
